Täky Galleriat

At the northern tip of the Lappeenranta Fortress, at Satamatie 10, you will find the Täky Gallery, maintained by Kaakkois-Suomen Taidekäsityöläiset Täky ry, the only store-gallery in the area specialising in Finnish handicrafts and design.
Our selection includes consumer goods and interior decoration products mainly from professionals in this field: e.g. ceramics, wool and linen knitwear, rag rugs, recycled linen dressing gowns, paper yarn and postcards from various artists.
For children, the shop has e.g. dollhouse furniture, wooden toys and hand puppets. Our jewellery selection is also extensive; Unique silver jewellery and enamelled beauties, products made of glass, laser plywood and leather.
The exhibitions in our gallery change monthly. Every autumn for more than 20 years, an interesting Design Autumn invitational exhibition series has been organised, and the application period for other months is open in September.
In addition, there are five artisans' studios in Täky's premises. For more than 20 years, Täky has operated in this more than 100-year-old building, which was originally used as an army biscuit warehouse. The association itself is already over 40 years old. Täky is open all year round, every day during the summer. Welcome here next to the Hiekkalinna, Fazer's factory outlet and the Satamatie 6 café.
