Self-guided tour from Helsinki to Päijät-Häme and Kanta-Häme
We recommend at least one night for this shopping tour. How does that sound?
Helsinki > Lahti > Vääksy > Auttoinen > Hämeenlinna -> Helsinki, 370 km
From Helsinki, travel to Lahti, where the Port Craft Shop Ulpukka serves high-quality Finnish craft products all year round in a station building completed in 1869.

Near the Lahti Travel Center, Huhtadesign is a charming boutique specializing in local design and handicrafts, as well as a company bag workshop and factory outlet. Lahti also has the original Puine, which sells products designed on site from birch plywood.

Either stay overnight in Lahti or continue to Vääksy, where there is a cute Ranskalainen kyläkauppa in a majestic pink stone building. Ranskalainen kyläkauppa has two floors of things to admire and you can also have a coffee or eat in addition to shopping.

From Vääksy, continue to Auttoinen to the diverse Keinuhongan Tila. On the ground floor of the old barn of the Keinuhonan Tila is the Suvimarja Lifestyle Shop. The shop's product range includes unique women's clothing, accessories and jewelry, high-quality interior design products and textiles. There is also a café in connection with Suvimarja, where you can enjoy both savory and sweet treats. Upstairs is the Keinuhongan Lähiruokamyymälä, a Local Food Store, where you can find treats for many tastes.

From Auttoinen continue to Hämeenlinna, where the Willa Vaski craft house is maintained by the Vanajavesi region's journeymen's association. The house has a boutique, the Willa Gallery and the Vaski PopUp café.
Hämeenlinna has a charming café, Villa Marenki, which is a cozy pet-friendly café in an old, cozy 100-year-old wooden house on Eteläkatu in Hämeenlinna. In the neighboring Matin ja Maija Majatalo, you can get a good night's sleep in linen sheets in the lap of an old building. Each room in the small guesthouse is individually decorated and has its own bathroom.
