Kaarnavilla is a home for Finnish products that has moved in with the Turku-based KUI shop. The store is filled with both KUI shop's local products and products from Kaarnavilla's over 70 Finnish entrepreneurs, from dishwashing detergent to art.
In the former prison area of Kakolanmäki, the Kakola shop is mainly a shop selling products made by prisoners and local producers. All are somehow related to Kakola or the prison world. In addition to traditional prison products, the selection has been updated in cooperation with the prisons. The availability of prisoner products is seasonal and the saying "beyond rush" is true here.
Sylvi Salonen Oy is a craft, interior design and gift shop, with a wide range of craft products, worth a visit! You can find Sylvi's shop in Ruissalo, right by the sea, in the villa environment of Villa Kuuva, which also has a cute café open in the summer and around Christmas.
Then go to Naantali, where there is a lot to explore and wonderful cafes and restaurants to enjoy the good food and summer atmosphere, especially in the summer. Some of the shops in Naantali are open outside of summer too, if you want to visit the beautiful city at a slightly quieter time. A few tips:
Sisustus Mandarina is a wonderful interior design shop in Naantali, in addition to interior design products, you can get help with interior design from Tanja. The shop sells, among other things, personalized interior cushions, lampshades and interior textiles. The sewing shop makes custom-made interior textiles.
When heading to Naantali, you shouldn't forget the craft shop Nukkeria - open all year round right in the heart of the city center.
