Vaasa > Kauhava > Seinäjoki > Lapua > Ylistaro > Vaasa

About 380 km

Vaasa has a must-see destination for anyone interested in interior design, Sisustusliike Säde. This boutique is full of atmosphere in the center of Vaasa. The store is small and cozy, full of wonderful interior design products, delicacies and gift items, it's worth a visit!

The journey begins in Vaasa to explore Southern Ostrobothnia and its offerings – first we head to Kauhava, home to Tuulia Design, a heaven for craft enthusiasts and crafters. This cute shop offers a wide range of materials in beautiful surroundings.

In Kauhava, Iisakki Järvenpää is a 143-year-old knife factory, where all products are made in-house: knives, sheaths, belt buckles and jewelry. Production is carried out by five knife makers using traditional methods and machines. There is a cozy factory store in the same building as the factory, where all models in production are sold, as well as products made by local craftspeople.

In Kauhava, there is also a seasonal kiosk called Mindy's Kiosk run by 10-year-old Mindy! The kiosk sells affordable candies, coffee, ice cream, refreshments and seasonal products.

Take a trip to Seinäjoki and explore the shops in the area - Suomen Taidetarvike is the right address for all art and craft lovers. You can also pick up some flower arrangements, seedlings or something from the interior design shop at Lakeuden Vihertaimisto.

The journey continues to Lapua to Mummadesign, where you can find unique hand-printed linen products for clothing and interior design – in the summer you can also enjoy the café's delicacies.

You can head back to Vaasa via Kriikun Myllykaffila, one of the best cafés in Finland. This atmospheric café in Ylistaro, on the edge of a rapid, serves tourists during the summer.

Can you bear to leave South Ostrobothnia on your way home?
